What is the total price of Nectar?

When you initially purchase a Nectar site you receive the website, custom domain, and 12-months of hosting all for $199. This price is for the first year only. After 12-months, you are only paying for hosting and domain renewal so the price drops to $79 annually. There are no additional hidden charges whatsoever.

Does Nectar include an area on the site where I can upload files such as videos, music, resumes, etc?

We've tried really hard to make Nectar as versatile and flexible as possible by enabling connections between Nectar and third-party sites that focus on their area of expertise (photos, videos, file sharing, resumes, etc.). Rather than re-create an application that already exists, we designed Nectar to serve as a hub for any/all of your web content. You simply engage with any of the hundreds of social/media/file-sharing sites available and add these links to your Nectar page. If the site manager detects an RSS feed on any of these links, the latest content will automatically be displayed on your Nectar site without any additional work on your part. This keeps your Nectar site continuously updated and fresh.

Can I purchase more than one domain name?

No, you can have just one domain as your Nectar site at this time. This domain can be bought during signup or you can elect to use an existing domain that you already own. See owning my own domain below.

Can I use my existing domain name for my Nectar site?

Absolutely! Just be sure to select this option when signing up. Note that it's not possible to have a domain point to two different destinations so if you already use you're domain for say a personal blog, you'll have to create a subdomain for either your blog or your Nectar site (example: http://meet.johnsmith.com might link to your Nectar page, while http://www.johnsmith.com might link to your personal blog.)

What happens if I cancel?

If you opt to signup for the trial and cancel within 15 days of signing up, you will not be charged for any service. After the trial period you will be charged for the service and your Nectar site will be paid in full for 12 months. While we don't offer refunds outside the 15-day trial, you can opt to stop any recurring charges after the first 12 months. We also give you the option to delete your account in it's entirety prior to your paid service period if you so desire. These functions are all available by accessing the site manager - meaning there's no phone calls required!

Is the data on my page backed up?

Absolutely, Nectar employs several redundant server technologies to ensure the safety of your information.

Where is my site Hosted? Is it secure?

We have partnered with one of the top-tier hosting providers, WiredTree to manage our hosting infrastructure. Feel free to check them out, we like them a lot.

Can I personally host my Nectar site?

To keep things simple on your end we handle all the hosting.

What payment types do you accept?

We take the major plastic variety (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover).

Where can I change my credit card information?

Just go to the site manager (account tab) and scroll down to billing information. Edit accordingly.

What is your refund policy?

You can read our full policy by clicking the link at the bottom of this page. But to sum it up, we offer everyone a no-hassle 15-day trial period which means you can experience Nectar in its fullest minus your custom domain. Then after 15 days if you still love us, just leave everything as-is and we'll charge the card you provided at signup. If you aren't completely thrilled, go ahead and scroll down to the section labeled "My Account" and follow the subsequent instructions to delete your Nectar site. There are no phone calls required to cancel your account.

How do I edit the content on my Nectar site?

All of your site's content can be managed from our friendly site manager tool. You can add, remove, and edit content to your heart's content.

Do you provide support via phone?

We'd prefer for you to work through our Get Satisfaction page. Get Satisfaction enables a publicly-accessible forum for current and prospective Nectar customers so using this service means you're helping mankind. However, we do provide both an email address and phone number for those emergency situations. We'll trust your judgement on this one.
